Newish spot Thoroughbred will be joining the breakfast brigade with their "Low Tea". The cozy spot is tucked away in Toronto's Fashion District, conveniently across from a multiplex, making it a great spot for pre-movie dinner or brunch. At a friends and family preview, we got to sample some of their delicious pastries as well as à la cart items.
My favourite item from the à la carte menu were these perfect pancakes topped with preserved huckleberry. Insanely thick with just the right sweetness, the texture is light fluffiness encased in a just so crispy exterior. Heaven.
Low Tea officially launches this Sunday, March 29, from 11:30 - 2:30. The program offers your choice of a chef-selected sandwich or pastry assortment accompanied by tea.
