Tonight, I attended a thing called a Slideluck Potshow. When I got the invitation from Connie, I had no idea what to expect. Basically, it's a blend of community, eating and photographic art. Attendees participate by bringing something to the table, literally.
People didn't just bring appetizers, mains and desserts either. (Don't even get me started about the dulce de leche cheesecake...) There were plenty of bottles of wine on offer. My guilt at not bringing anything to share got the better of me, so I only had cranberry juice and soda, but that won't be an issue next time.
And there will be a next time. It was a fun event with a lot of food choices and some wonderful photo essays. The next ones are happening on the 15th in Montreal and the 17th in Ottawa. Visit their events page for a full schedule of gatherings. It's free, so go check it out!
