Exotic Tastes

I needed to get some detergent at Essence of Life, so I headed down to Kensington Market yesterday afternoon. It was also a good excuse to get out of the house on a gorgeous spring afternoon. While I was in there, my little eye spied a rack of Sahale Snacks trail mixes.

After scanning all the different combinations, into my basket went the Ksar variety. It's made with pistachios, pepitas, sesame seeds, fig and Moroccan harissa. It was a little pricey at $3.49 a bag, but I'm happy I got it.

This snack has everything! It's sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy and chewy, all in a perfect balance. And nothing in it is bad for you. Win! I'd like to try the pomegranate cashew and socorro blends too.
