Something Fishy

fish sandwich

Had a very late dinner tonight, as I couldn't think what I wanted to eat. I had some idea that I wanted to cook up some of the basa I bought the other day. So I set a piece to defrost and let it marinade in lemon juice, garlic powder and some thai spice mix.

I'd also picked up a rosemary & olive oil loaf from Fresh & Wild earlier, since B ate my butter croissant after a pastry mixup. (That's right, I'm talkin' to you! :p) So I thought, hey, I'll make a sandwich. Good call.

I pan fried the fillet in one of the new cast iron pans I picked up in Chinatown this afternoon. Then toasted two thinnish slices of the bread, and buttered them. The sandwich was dressed with a couple of thin slices of tomato, salt and pepper, and a bit of the aioli from last night.

Beats the hell out of of a fillet-o-fish.
