B&B Eatin' Burgers

burger and frites

You'll have noted, faithful reader, that there wasn't a post yesterday. It's because other than my lunch, which was a repeat, I had a mediocre hamburger with limp fries that did nothing to quell my recent craving. That one was not the burger pictured above.

The picture above is of a home-made burger with hand cut fries. B came over with some meat, bread and a garlic aioli. I provided the potatoes and the oil for frying, along with the wine. And that was the extent of my contribution. :)

But now I know how to make perfect french fries at home! The key is to blanch in the hot oil first, then fry them in the same oil, just hotter. The burgers were huge and delish. We cooked 'em up in the Foreman.

I dressed mine with a grainy Dijon and roasted red pepper (the tomato was just there for styling purposes). B went with a classic ketchup topper, but twisted it up with some peanut sauce!

It was a great dinner to watch some 30 Rock with.
