As part of my breakfast today, I had half a ruby red grapefruit. I sprinkled it with sugar and a few drops of Angostura Bitters. I'm thinking this may be a British West Indian thing; perhaps even a uniquely Trini thing, as this brand of bitters is from Trinidad. No matter how the Venezuelans may feel about that. ¡Chistes mi familia! :)
Does anyone else eat their grapefruit this way? Perhaps the Brits?
Anyway, this is one of those things that whenever I eat it it makes me think of home and family.
